On the afternoon of Sunday 9th September, Amersham in Transition joined many other local groups with a stall at the annual Heritage Day. We were fortunate to have lovely sunny weather, which certainly encouraged plenty of visitors.
One of the key attractions on our stall was our local apple juice, of which we sold our final remaning 50 bottles from last year’s stock. A display of posters of visions of the future (shown in the picture), created by girls at Challoner’s High School in July during a workshop run by AiT, formed a colourful backdrop to our stall and resulted in some interesting discussions with visitors to the stall about the future of Amersham. In addition, we had wildlife-friendly plants for sale.
All in all, it was a successful event – thanks to all who helped on the stall or otherwise contributed to the day.
